Dressing the perfect setting for Maestros de la Costura…

The road to success is not always the easiest path and behind any successful project there are hard working days which people usually do not know. Maestros de la Costura shows what is behind fashion design; a trade that increasingly arouses passions.

Francisco Segarra’s furniture, a privileged witness on the road to success.

It is a privilege to see the evolution of all the apprentices and witnessing first-hand of how they learn and perfect sewing techniques until they create their personal mark. It is also a privilege and a great honour for Francisco Segarra who continues collaborating with a project followed, week by week, by almost one and a half million viewers.

For the third time in a row, we are collaborating with this TV format produced by Shine Iberia Productions for Spanish channel RTVE, which is broadcast on Mondays at 22:30h. Raquel Sánchez-Silva presents the program along with Lorenzo Caprile, Palomo Spain and María Escoté as the great jury, who not only have to make the difficult decision of choosing who is leaving the programme each week, but they are also real guides and mentors for the apprentices.

The apprentices spend most of the time in two special spaces, which are the sewing workshop and the haberdashery. The first part of the programme takes place in these two environments where they face different challenges proposed by the organization on a weekly basis.

Custom spaces and haute couture furniture.

The pieces of furniture have been carefully chosen to highlight the value of the Craftmade, as paying homage to couture. Those pieces give prominence to the handmade and the traditional through raw woods and stripped finishes.

Iron becomes one of the most used materials. First and mainly due to its resistance and strength, but also to its industrial aesthetic. A style that makes us travel to an old sewing factory.

Our antiques, which are authentic treasures recovered from different places all over the world, give a vintage touch to the whole concept. They are elements that remind us of our origin and through them we learn that the most current fashion is led by tradition, history and references.

Wool, yarn, ribbons, fabrics… To recreate the best designs, nothing better than having the right material. In the haberdashery, shop lockers and display cases keep and preserve the essential elements of sewing. Our antique furniture has a special charm and fits perfectly within this scenography.

Within this comfortable, functional and beautiful stage, the working atmosphere is ideal for apprentices to unleash their imagination. Antique sewing furniture, an antique iron, shoe lasts, vintage room dividers or desk lamps… In those small details we see Francisco Segarra’s vintage style which is a clear motivation towards creativity and art.

A unique space “tailored” for this talent show, which has a lot of followers every Monday night. The beginning of a path towards a dream. Do not miss it!
