When a restaurant design merges elegance and decoration… Bar Galán.

Elegance is something easy to perceive, but difficult to describe. In interior design it is the perfect balance between everything surrounding us and it accompanies us in some way, but above all it is the right proportion that makes us always feel special.

An elegant decoration is more visual and touchable. It attracts and fascinates us naturally, and when we discover an interior design that merges with elegance, it is already impossible for us not to want to explore its multiple details.

That’s what has happened with Bar Galán, a restaurant in the heart of Barcelona with a gorgeous interior design where furniture plays a decisive role. A place where the hallmark of Francisco Segarra joins the representative look of the place.

Decorations and designs that turn the place into an experience…

Through the large windows that overlook L’Eixample in Barcelona, we can see that Bar Galán has a cosy and stylish restaurant decoration. A place that delights us with its exquisite gastronomy and impeccable interior design.

Turning the place into a moment, making every detail an experience. Designer Nora Batlle (Belonging Interiors) in collaboration with Kalimba Studio knew from the first moment what the common goal was and did not hesitate to apply a unique perspective that extols the elegance of the design.

Faced with the challenge of giving a twist to an old restaurant but trying to preserve structural elements such as a large wooden bookcase or the imposing marble bar, they opted for a combination of harmony and warmth that oozes style.

The terracotta colour of the walls and ceilings achieves a wrapping sensation that leaves out the coldness of the old premises. To the same end, its height was reduced with an interesting composition of hanging lamps of generous dimensions.

The “color box” effect we can see in this corner of Barcelona accentuates that intangible elegance perceived in this restaurant decoration.

Decoration and furniture to enhance style.

Being a “galán” in Spanish means having a good presence, dressing well, causing attraction and knowing how to enhance innate beauty. All this is achieved in this space through decoration and furniture.

Custom furniture, exquisite upholstery, noble materials and stylish details. Everything in its right proportion so that diners feel wrapped and comfortable during their visit to Bar Galán.

A linen curtain creates that suggestive game between the outside and the inside of the premises that gives us more privacy.

In a pleasant and privileged corner of the restaurant a large marble table and some design chairs are waiting for us. A comfortable area where you can also enjoy more intimate and cosy evenings.

It is in this interior where Francisco Segarra’s retro chairs express without words the comfort of a past that is felt again through designs like this. Regi is a collection of chairs with the aesthetics of an idealized past.

A shelving unit decorated and illuminated conscientiously is there to enhance even more, if possible, the cosy feeling of this restaurant.

Following the same style of the restaurant project, but with a more daring vision, in the bathrooms a color box was recreated that contrasts with two large images of Paul Newman and Monica Bellucci, dimly illuminated with neon lights.

In Bar Galán you can feel the elegance in every corner and in every detail. Something so difficult to describe and so easy to feel… Let yourself be delighted by its decoration and feel special.
