Takomama. A Mexican restaurant designed with a lot of flavour.

Do you want to travel and discover new cultures? Who said you need to travel the world for it? Strolling through the streets of Madrid, you will find an excellent offer of gastronomic places that, through their kitchen and outstanding design, will make you dream in distant and tropical lands…

Takomama. A restaurant the name of which transmits good vibrations. Party, joy, taste… A compendium of positive sensations in an exotic space designed with pieces from the catalogue of Francisco Segarra.

Takomama. The most delicious side of Mexico…

It is in the neighbourhood of Chueca, on Hortaleza street, that we find this fantastic restaurant. With its essentially based on Mexican specialties menu, it is an authentic feast for all lovers of Latin gastronomy.

Micheladas, juices, quesadillas, burritos, and tacos of all kinds… As the owners of the place would say, Takomama is a piece of Mexico in Madrid. The best way to enjoy a different meal in an environment that invites you to relax and evade the daily routine.

The decoration takes us subtly and elegantly to an exotic world surrounded by greenery and nature. A fresh and innovative design that departs from the established and that shows the excellent work of previous interior design carried out by the studio Sandra Vergara.

Designing a different space, full of freshness and joy.

As in all her projects, interior designer Sandra Vergara, creator of her own studio, has sought the balance between beauty and practicality. A balance that brings out the best in the details and that distinguishes itself perfectly in Takomama.

At the entrance, the fruits and flowers greet us adorning the large bar counter that immediately gives the place a special tropical character. There is no doubt, we have crossed the door of another universe, full of freshness and joy.

The walls, covered in natural lime, fill in the space with its hopeful tone creating a beautiful contrast with the green colour of the plants that beautify even the smallest corner of the place.

High or low stools in bright colours and with an industrial touch; Aged wooden tables in vintage aesthetics… Francisco Segarra’s furniture beautifully occupies the place and adapts without any difficulty to the desired environment.

Natural fibre lamps and baskets; cushions with prints… With a special elegance, the décor becomes traditional and the interior delicately transports us to the sun and the deep jungle of Mexico.

Takomama is an exemplary interior design project that brings out the most exquisite side of Mexican culture. A place to feel good, to travel for a moment, to dream big…
