Within a residential interior design, there are many factors that come into play. And, although the interior is the core of any project, no less important are the outdoor areas that should act as an extension of the house.
They surround our home, connect us with nature and, above all, are the first impression of the whole set. Gardens, terraces, porches… Dream places that you have to know how to design, with head and heart.
El Limonar is the comprehensive refurbishment of a house in Gijón carried out 100% by the team of interior designers of Francisco Segarra by the Group’s El Sol. A unique housing design where the excellence of decorating magical exteriors stands out.
Enjoy the outdoors under a covering…
Having an outdoor space is a privilege. Enjoying it all year round, a real luxury. The outdoor areas of the Limonar were the starting point of the whole project and for this reason they were thought and studied in detail for this purpose.
Under a wooden structure, a kind of gazebo was designed for the best moments around the table. A warm space that inspires confidence, closeness and dialogues with the house interior through an idyllic decoration.
In this sense, there is no better option than natural fibres to feel in total harmony with nature. Wood, rattan, flowers… A porch that plays with rustic and Mediterranean touches, seconded at all times by the placidity of the wabi-sabi style.
The evening does not end here… As night falls, it becomes even more endearing. From a small chill out space, outdoor life is even more appreciated. A comfortable sofa with cushions, candles and magnificent views of the pool that reigns in the middle of the garden.
… and under the stars.
Taking care of every corner: such is the premise of an interior design work. And this also means applying it to house outdoor design. Small spaces, but one hundred percent usable that become true paradises, as if by magic.
In this case, the fire pit corner is presented as one of the stars of the whole project. Enabled in a corner of the garden covered by a stone floor, it consists of a central table and a crescent-shaped bench with a high backrest that gives a cosy feeling and the greatest privacy with respect to the adjoining houses.
The dim lighting, indirect and so ephemeral, brings us closer to nature and brings the greatest organic value to the whole set. It is not just another space, but a clear invitation to rejoice in the heat of the bonfire and to delight in the immensity of a starry sky.
Outdoor decoration is a bit like generating new illusions and perspectives. It is a sign that we can connect more and more with our environment and enjoy all the benefits that entails. Through projects as beautiful as El Limonar, interior design opens the way to new sensations that only become special when lived from the outside.
