Cucu Bananas, a cocktail bar design with an unmatchable verve.

Love for design and passion for hospitality keep bringing us new experiences… We love when they merge. A combination so explosive yet so endearing combination, with which noteworthy interior designs are carried out, such as the one we invite you to discover today.

Cucu Bananas is not somewhere else, it is an eclectic space that expresses a way of being, where creativity and boldness converge, and where even the craziest minds have a place.

In this cocktail bar design, classic and contemporary art break the barrier of time, the decoration is influenced by various sources of inspiration and the result is a cluster of stimuli that turn our visit into a true experience.

And it is just here, where Francisco Segarra’s furniture becomes a support and an incentive for the space to remain different and original.

A unique bet, a special connection and a crazy design.

Cucu Bananas is in the heart of Valladolid. Specifically, in an emblematic site of the city, El Pasaje Gutiérrez, inaugurated in 1886 and considered of cultural interest. The pictorial and sculptural decoration, and the paintings that adorn the ceilings of this commercial gallery were key in the execution of this design project, where it was wanted to build a special connection between both.

With extensive experience in the catering and hospitality sector in Valladolid, Cucu Bananas is added to the rest of the premises as a unique bet and with enormous strength. An unmatchable verve that comes from the very name of the place.

“Cucu Bananas is an adaptation of the English expression “cuckoo bananas” which means to have lost your mind and used by one of our waitresses to refer to a customer who is “completely crazy”, like us, crazy people with love for hospitality and with the idea of creating an eclectic space that expresses our way of being.” Management of the premises.

The bar design was done by themselves, and the main goal was to create a link between their cocktail offer and the surrounding art. Classics or author, the most creative part is always present in Cucu Bananas.

Furniture and decoration with an unmistakable character.

After major projects such as the Olivando gastrobar or the El Cortijo restaurant, Francisco Segarra brand was once again chosen for this surprising bar design.

Wrapped by different references, both classic and contemporary art, the furniture in our catalogue shows its unmistakable character and is placed with kindness.

The U-shaped bar becomes the key point of Cucu Bananas. The fresco that adorns its ceiling at almost five meters high (a collage with the birth of Venus and Bacchus as protagonists) or the spheres that illuminate it are a clear intentional nod to the famous shopping arcade. Behind it, the textures and reliefs of a wallpaper unique on the market turn the space into a multisensory and enveloping place.

The walls are filled with colour and impulsiveness thanks to the works of the artist Nicoläs Villamizar. And a row of high stools invites us to appreciate all the talent housed in the place.

Elegance takes over the atmosphere and makes it more sophisticated in a small corner where, relaxed in comfortable armchairs, we can savour our favourite cocktail under a more intimate and cozy light.

A small shelf, few decorative objects and some vegetation complete this bar design where you can breathe gallantry and hospitality. If you feel a little “cuckoo bananas” or you like to appreciate talent and creativity you cannot miss Cucu Bananas.
