A dream house… The magic of house interior design.

After years of experience, the power of interior design continues surprising us. One only must look at the following project of a comprehensive house refurbishment to understand its magic and its great capacity to make dreams come true.

Behind this complete renovation made in an old flat in Madrid, we find the work by Estudio María del Valle Interior Staging which, with passion and commitment, achieved a simply outstanding result.

A residential project that is love at first sight and that deserves a special route, in every room, highlighting the kitchen and the bathrooms where Francisco Segarra’s tiles bring their particular dose of warmth.

A new life, a new home…

This is the story of a Spanish family with three children that, after some years living abroad, decided to come back to Spain and renovate the house where one of the parents had lived as a child.

A life change that involved giving a complete turn to the house which hasn’t been reformed during the last 40 years.

A new space distribution, a new carpentry design, kitchen, bathroom, selection of materials in line with the owners’ taste… A wonderful comprehensive refurbishment that María del Valle has carried out from the beginning till the end bringing aesthetic and functionality to every room.

One of the main conditioning factors of the work was the creation of wide spaces to share with family; especially the kitchen that is the space where the family wants to spend more time, as they used to when living abroad.

“My dream kitchen”.

From a long and narrow space to a wide and functional kitchen. Located in the south area of the house, this is maybe the most emblematic place in the whole refurbishment; defined by the owner as “the kitchen I have dreamed about in my life”.

Furniture lacquered in green and white, warm wood, natural light, floral wallpaper… A wonderful kitchen where the tiles FS Amaral by Francisco Segarra brings the most romantic and nostalgic character to the whole space.

Every corner, every detail, every intention… In a refurbishment like this one, everything is important. And in this house, no room is out of the good aesthetic taste, neither those that are usually considered as essentially functional.

Within the same decorative line than in the kitchen wall tiles, the bathrooms also feature an outstanding vintage style, what enhances the romantic character wanted for the whole house.

Likewise, FS Porto Fátima, with its geometric lines and flowers, brings an elegant characteristic in the main bathroom. In the same way, FS Clay Blossom achieves a beautiful and natural wall inside the shower. And, in the kid’s bedroom, FS Blume offers the freshest, the most colourful and floral vision of ceramics.

A collection of wall tiles that shows its great capacity to adapt to the needs of the home. Tiles that María del Valle herself considers “with a unique quality and design” and that add a different touch to the whole project.
