La Martinuca. Savour and tradition in a unique restaurant interior design.

At Francisco Segarra, we think every project is the fulfilment of a dream. With the best décor skills, we design the most singular illusions and give life to the most relevant restaurant concepts of the moment.

Recently opened, La Martinuca is a unique restaurant that, supported all the time with a pure atmosphere, pays homage to an international known dish. Potato omelette and the recipe by Grandmother Martina are the origin of the new 100% FS project.

An original idea where homemade cuisine becomes the leading concept in this restaurant interior design, where savour and tradition merge wonderfully.

Authenticity in the cuisine, exclusivity in the interior design.

All started with an online selling system as the main site. “An office of omelettes” as Martina used to say; a saying that her nephew Víctor Naranjo, the creator of the brand and the project’s biggest supporter, rescued.

After the success, the following step was to open a place in the centre of Madrid to perpetuate on of the oldest and most genuine products in the Spanish gastronomy. A return to the origin that prioritizes the use of ecologic, fresh and seasonal products to elaborate healthy, savoury and 100% homemade dishes.

“Who tastes it, falls in love with it.”

Because the omelettes in La Martinuca are so, like they were in the past… And perhaps this is why the restaurant interior design has been planned to immerse the diner in the authentic grandmother Martina’s country house.

Traditional design and “grandmother” touches.

Located in Barquillo 11 street, the restaurant is divided into two spaces. The first of them, at level street, works as a coffee shop where the omelette in all its versions is the great protagonist from early in the morning.

Behind two large Windows, we find the bar counter, high tables and stools. The endearing atmosphere is wonderfully embellished by two cast iron pillars, which are protected by Patrimonio, giving a stately character to the space.

The second one, that is used as a dining room, is the cosiest and most intimate. A beautiful holm oak dresses a major part of the ceiling simulating a relieve and comforting shelter. Martina’s cuisine is also here what brings ipso facto the touch from “grandmother’s house”, which served a s a common thread for the decoration of all the place.

Warmth, generosity and elegance…

The tradition gives off from every corner using handcraft materials like the mud in the bar counter, the mortar on the walls of this restaurant, and, above all, in the lattice that welcomes us as we enter.

Wooden furniture, aged finishes and wall lights that highlight the textures of the walls… Everything take us to this warm and cosy world that tries to maintain the initial concept.

Vessels, papier-mâché plates, clay glasses, fruit bowls, wine bottles, cruets and lots of vegetation… The space acquires a purer and more elegant Mediterranean air, thanks to suggestive details that add to the homely character of the whole decoration.

100% carried out by Francisco Segarra’s department of interior designers in Madrid, La Martinuca is a project that marks a before and after in restaurant concepts. A story, an illusion and a fulfilled dream… Let yourself get seduced by a decoration that awakens all the senses.
