FARO PUNTA IMPERATORE. An amazing feat in hotel design.

Hotel decoration is changing, evolving together with society and offering increasingly unusual experiences to satisfy the expectations. These are so atypical that, sometimes, the design surprises us with unimaginable but simply amazing things.

We felt completely astounded when we found out the hotel project FARO PUNTA IMPERATORE which has fully revolutionized this world. Location, concept, interior design, gastronomic offer… Everything, absolutely everything, has been thought to design the perfect resort.

It is about nothing less than the refurbishment of the oldest lighthouse in the Mediterranean. Located in the Amalfitan Coast, the place preserves the history and shines out with its own light from its 164 meters height above the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Furnished with pieces of Francisco Segarra’s catalogue, this project is a feat in design and a gift for inspiration. A reason to visit this charming hotel worthy of the best ratings.

Making possible what seems impossible…

Ischia, a spa island in the Gulf of Naples, is a perfect example of the Mediterranean dream: natural beaches and landscapes, cultural heritage, local gastronomy… Not surprisingly it is a strong tourist destination and the ideal place to design a romantic hotel.

This is how the heads of the Floatel group, a German company specialized in luxury accommodation, understood it, and started the complete refurbishment of the place to open the first lighthouse hotel in Italy. “The most challenging projects are the most wonderful in the end” Tim Wittenbecher and MARC Nagel say. They are the creators of FARO PUNTA IMPERATORE. A highly complex hotel project that took eight years to open its doors, the last July 8, 2023.

Three helicopter missions were needed to transport the machines, the construction materials and the furniture. Facades, doors, windows, terraces… A fully new image for a lighthouse that has been 132 years leading ships at the sea.

Remoteness, peace, emotions… The best Hideaways experience for couples or great celebrations that require a unique and special location.

Lighthouse keepers for a night…

The entrance itself to FARO PUNTA IMPERATORE is unusual since you arrive via a stunning path with 155 steps and the luggage is taken by a transport cable car. An encouraging arrival that makes no other than announcing the beginning of a beautiful adventure.

A 240-degree views across the sea… There are no words to describe the views you can enjoy from the hotel. The terraces and the gardens overlook the Mediterranean in a wonderful panoramic that touches the horizon.

It can hold 8 people, and the interior of the lighthouse is distributed in four exclusive rooms, a living room and the restaurant of gourmet specialties Luci. Preserving the original structural elements, a winding staircase leads guests to a rooftop bar where they can enjoy the best sunsets under the flashing light of the lighthouse.

Furniture that enhances the best hotel decoration.

The hotel decoration is clean, minimalist, with no luxury pretensions. The essence of the place can be noticed in the whole design project that combines the purity of the white colour with the warmth of natural wood.

Francisco Segarra’s furniture completes the interior design to create an exclusive and personal environment. Retro stools, chairs and armchairs that provide a great visual comfort. Golden tables that give a touch of elegance. And an antique milling table full of personality.

Each piece, in some way, wraps the atmosphere and collaborates in maintaining alive the past of the lighthouse. For our furniture, it is, without a doubt, the perfect place to show once again that these pieces have inside a very special charm.

This project makes possible what seems impossible. FARO PUNTA IMPERATORE overcomes difficulties, breaks with the usual and takes hotel interior decoration to a new level. Nothings is unachievable, and more when it is about making reality unimaginable dreams.
