L’Engrenage. Industrial design at the service of pleasure and fun.

Within the great international influence of our vintage furniture brand, France has always been a frequent and continuing market. The pieces in Francisco Segarra’s catalogue conquer our neighbouring country and there are already many design professionals who have relied on our aesthetics to develop their interior design projects.

Our latest discovery takes us to Bordeaux in a newly opened place that presents itself as the most in vogue place in the whole city. Industrial decoration, cool atmosphere, and beers of all kinds…

“Bienvenus chez L’Engrenage”. A cocktail brewery with a lot of character from which you will find it very difficult to escape…

A pleasant, modern, and very youthful experience.

Known for its imposing historical monuments and winemaking tradition, Bordeaux is a very youthful city that enjoys a wide range of leisure activities. In the central street Castelnau d’Auros, among cinemas, pubs, and restaurants, the L’Engrenage bar opens its doors with the purpose of becoming the master of the Bordeaux evenings.

With its 280m2 and imposing terrace, the place boasts space and houses a careful selection of homemade beers and delicious homemade cocktails. In a cosy and very pleasant atmosphere, the bar invites us to savour each drink and enjoy an environment that bets on sympathy and sociability.

Knowing the experience of this modern brewery, means entering an authentic spiral of pleasure and fun. Beyond its impressive drinking areas, the bar reserves a real corner of the game in a subsoil. Billard, arcade game, music and, above all, unique moments and sensations to share over and over again.

Industrial design, natural elegance…

Designers and architects of the Hekla studio, experts in global design, were responsible for carrying out the integral conception of L’Engrenage. Thanks to their talent and experience, they managed to make real an ambitious project that looks like an excellent interior design, fully in line with the initial spirit of the place.

With its brick walls, steel roof and ceramic carpets on certain parts of the floor, the industrial style prevails in the brewery and the way that reinforces its strong irreversible character.

Leather stools and benches, aged wooden tables, rusty iron metal seats… The furniture is incorporated into the space with a lot of vigour and shows off its best finishes under the constant mastery of the impressive bar top more than 12 meters long.

In the lighting, we find subtle touches that lighten the atmosphere. The hanging lights, as well as the intense neon game that illuminates an old furniture with spirits, bathe the space in a very chic atmosphere and thus give a good dose of elegance to the whole space.

L’Engrenage is an interior design project that highlights the multiple virtues of industrial style, capable of turning any space into a magical and extremely attractive place. Thanks to its enormous skill, the Hekla studio signs an exemplary work, and it is with great pride that we highlight it among the best contract projects carried out with the furniture of our catalogue in France.
