Konnichiwa Restaurant: an immersive experience worth living.

Among new openings and unexpected closures, hospitality is a world that constantly oscillates between illusion and defeatism. And, in this changing and competitive sector, the line between success and failure can be very thin.

In a city like Madrid with such an excellent leisure offer, only originality and innovation can make a difference. In other words, the overall concept must encompass a physical, sensory, environmental and, of course, emotional dimension.

And this is exactly what the Japanese restaurant Konnichiwa, which has been conquering the city for years thanks to an excellent gastronomic experience and a place that exudes a unique creativity, offers us.

Designed with pieces from Francisco Segarra‘s catalogue, this space has a gift to delight us. Today we honour its popularity by seeing the strongest points that make it one of the best Asian restaurants in all of Madrid.

Konnichiwa… A small sample of Japan in the heart of Madrid.

Located on Fuencarral Street, the Konnichiwa restaurant designed by the interior design studio TROPART Interiorismo, immediately takes us to the heart of Japan. Like a neighbourhood Izakaya, it knows how to perfectly simulate the typical taverns so characteristic of Tokyo.

Likewise, the traditional gastronomy and the verisimilitude of the environment are the two characteristics that most enhance the concept. We do not fall into stereotypes; we simply get as close as possible to the peculiarities of Japanese culture.

Walking the most remote streets and stopping at a food market. Gyozas, Takoyaki, meat skewers, sushi… In pure Japanese Street Food style, we explore the customs through the most popular dishes of such an extremely rich and varied gastronomy.

The menu is pure exoticism! And, surrounded by such an authentic atmosphere, the whole restaurant becomes the best reflection of what we could find when traveling to the Land of the Rising Sun.

The secret of success? An overwhelming and 100% authentic decoration…

We all know Japanese culture, but not everyone will have the opportunity to experience it one day. Much more than a restaurant, it is an invitation, a dream trip, an immersive experience…

On the two floors of the premises, decoration becomes an essential asset to constantly strengthen the credibility of the concept. The space offers a complete experience where all the senses and emotions of the diner are involved.

Posters, lanterns, hieroglyphics, ceramics, metal sheets… Colours, lights and textures that do not fail. A touch of tradition and a deep connection with the purest and truest Asian essence emerge from every element.

The overwhelming personality of the industrial vintage style stands out in this successful setting. High stools, iron and wooden chairs, aged tablesFrancisco Segarra’s furniture joins and brings its own touch of functionality and beauty.

Indeed, this restaurant leaves its mark on those who visit it. Original and very creative, the concept does not deceive, and we fall in love with it thanks to its powerful gastronomic offer and its atypical decoration.

A success we like to share and that strengthens our idea that interior design can change everything in restaurant projects.
