Discover Tlaxcal taqueria Project. A Mexican restaurant like no other.

Discovering new restaurants is like travelling around the world. In our visit to Barcelona, we went to an authentic Mexican bar and taqueria. Tlaxcal. With a genuine gastronomy and the best decoration, this Mexican restaurant doesn’t fall short of flavour and personality.

A project made by GE Interiorismo Estudio with pieces from Francisco Segarra’s catalogue.

All the essence from Mexico in a genuine design taqueria.

Tlaxcal is the story of Paulina and Marc, a Mexican woman and a Spanish man, two cooks who decided to open an authentic Mexican bar where they offer traditional dishes made with typical ingredients from the South American country.

The name of the restaurant makes us travel to Tlaxcala state where you can eat delicious corn tortillas known as Tlaxcal. Enchiladas, tacos, ceviches, guacamole… A funny menu full of flavours that respects the Mexican millennial gastronomical tradition.

A place in the heart of El Borne neighbourhood, in Barcelona, that causes sensation.Tlaxcal breaks down stereotypes in the Mexican cuisine and leaves the typical tex-mex decoration behind.

Tradition and culture in an elegant and endearing decoration.

Soft red and yellow tones emerge in this small bistro. When you go into the venue, an Aztec cultural mask and some cactus welcome us and take us to the heart of Mexico. We are at Tlaxcal, a restaurant that opts for essence and roots.

GE Interiorismo Estudio interior design team has achieved the creation of a place where we find constant nods to Mexico, although they are far from stereotypes and patterns. The space is clean, elegant and endearing.

In a cosy atmosphere, we can take seat and feel ready to enjoy a great Mexican meal. On the high tables, some nachos and a michelada; on the lo tables, the main dishes from Tlaxcal.
