When residential interior design meets all expectations.

At Francisco Segarra we love commercial interior design, illusion and passion for our small world is our main motivation. Our catalogue has exclusive furniture and pieces that represent a language on their own. Restaurants, hotels, shops… but also houses give us part of their space. Our furniture and decorative accessories also shine in residential interior design.

The way we perceive the space where we live, or function is determined by the sensations it transmits to us and the experiences that give meaning to their existence.

Thanks to BALULA we move to Galicia, a land that is discovered with a caress and which seduces us with impetus. With its wonderful sea views where the sun sinks every day, we open the doors of a summer house, where the passion of those who shaped it is reflected in every projected corner.

A house that invites us to rest and calm.

Each space is a world but addressing the design of a residential setting starts with the persons who will make it their personal and somehow impenetrable empire, with the fusion of their emotions, ideas and expectations that will wisely be reflected in that place.

Design, as a tangible way of communicating creativity, begins with a blank page, where Maria and Rupert, the heart of Balula, began to crystallize the idea of the owners turning an old house into their vacation destination.

A magical land in northern Spain, proud of its dizzying cliffs, its wild beaches, its eternal lighthouses, and its villages full of history. It is easy to love the charms of Galicia… Their obsessive love for creating beautiful places led them to this masterful project where they turned a dull and faint house into a second residence that invites to rest and calm.

The old garage gave way to an open space for the kitchen and dining room. The feeling of spaciousness was increased with the use of the same shade on walls and ceilings, as well as the choice of a smooth finish cement floor that provides a touch of the Ibizan style.

A space in very clean lines where the old pieces stand out in the atmosphere providing warmth and breaking with the minimalist aesthetic. The combination of good general lighting with spot and decorative lights generates pleasant visual comfort.

The doors were hand-painted, which not only increases their charm and personality, but also makes them the point of union between the two rooms.

When charm and elegance go hand in hand.

Designing these spaces is to delve into the condition of those who will inhabit them. Delineating, configuring, organizing, setting… but above all generating experiences that are perceived through the senses.

On the upper floor we find the most intimate rooms, bedrooms that follow the chromatic pattern of general design project and where we find an excellent fusion of styles that captivates us.

It is essential the creation of a focal point to convey that feeling of balance and harmony that we seek in the decoration of any space.

“I had fallen in love with your metal pieces. I knew I should have them in the house.” María Moreno Lamas, creative director of Balula Studio.

The creation of a headboard from the metal panels belonging to Francisco Segarra turned the master bedroom of the house into one of the most charming rooms of the whole house. Its Victorian style gives a warm elegance that is not easy to achieve.

Their delicate ornaments and winding geometric shapes stand out even more in the light of the chandelier lamp.

The other bedrooms boast vintage pieces, others with an Asian style or even some with an industrial touch. An excellent fusion of styles that fills this second residence with freshness and warmth.

At Francisco Segarra, the discovery of exclusive, unique, and special objects is part of our success. We like finding our decorative accessories also in residential interior design, we marvel at discovering their multiple possibilities and this drives us to be a source of inspiration without limits.
