Figarilla. Daringness and soul in a restaurant decoration.

In a successful attempt to reinterpret the design of the typical Andalusian taverns, Figarilla becomes the best space where you can feel the self-confidence of the soul in the south of Spain and let us be enveloped by its “cañí” touches.

A fresh and updated combination for a restaurant decoration that today opens its doors and invites us to savour the best fried foods, enjoy the popular clapping and appreciate an interior design that connects the capital with the south of the peninsula.

This concept of restaurant, fostered by creativity and innovation, pays tribute to the traditional taverns that will always remain in our memory, and that with the vintage strength of Francisco Segarra’s tiles beat again.

A creative, fresh and innovative design project.

Figarilla was born from a collaboration between the Lalala Group and La Milla de Marbella. Located in Concha Espina we receive this restaurant whose name refers to the old name of the Huelva port of Isla Cristina and which has become a popular meeting point in Madrid.

It was wanted Andalusia to influence much of the decoration of this restaurant and for that it was trusted in the architecture and interior design studio MRGO Arquitectos, founded by Álvaro Mesonero Romanos and Álvaro G. Onieva.

Fourteen professionals make up this dynamic team capable of carrying out all kinds of challenges thanks to the talent, creativity and freshness that converge in each of their works. A studio that grows on a large scale in Madrid and whose firm is especially known for having designed many of the restaurants that form reference hotel groups, such as the Lalala Group.

The arrival of Figarilla marks a before and after in the gastronomic offer, but also in the way in which an Andalusian patio has been recreated indoors.

Modernity, tradition and southern airs in a restaurant decoration in detail.

The vintage tiles greet us from the original façade that already suggests the atmosphere and magic of the old canteens of the heart of Andalusia.

Inside, ceramics and colour coexist with natural materials where wood prevails.

The central bar counter, tiled in aquamarine green contrasts with the natural wood stools, an updated version of the classic traditional models that is noticeable throughout the furniture.

In every corner we find a cosy and familiar atmosphere that gives off the essence that was sought thanks to a restaurant decoration where there is no lack of detail.

Warm linings, delicate lighting with brass finishes, handmade pieces… The recreation of an Andalusian patio in the stairwell immerses us fully in the spirit of the south before accessing the second floor.

There the vegetation grows, transmitting the freshness of the outdoor spaces in an unprecedented interior.

Vintage designs for a contemporary space.

In an interior that bets on creativity to achieve a contemporary space with a traditional base, handmade pieces with signs of a glorious past take centre stage in an elegant and subtle way.

The selection of tiles has been an important part of this interior design and decoration project that required a classic and worn touch that brought it closer to the roots.

The floor and wall tiles from the FS by Peronda collection by Francisco Segarra achieve with its vintage designs that air of yesteryear that surrounds us in this space.

From the capital to the south of the peninsula through an interior decoration that unites the best of each land. Figarilla is that meeting place that successfully completes a novel proposal for restaurant design.
