When something ends, something starts. Pizzart: before and after.

From the rubble great ideas arise to start over. Every project is a different proposal that confirms to us that there is a way far beyond the conventional.

Adventurous, nonconformist, and tireless worker. Francisco Segarra’s personal style and his fight against some existing schemes beat in each of our creations. Fascinating spaces that show his effort to achieve authenticity in both his life and designs.

Imagination, creation, enjoyment.

His indomitable spirit inspires our way of understanding interior design. Appreciating his talent, understanding his world, connecting with his creative philosophy… María Barrero is an exceptional collaborator at Francisco Segarra. Seeing how she experiences an authentic illusion and lives each project intensely is something truly magical.

We share a passion for vintage décor and a fascination with industrial settings. W think spaces are places where things happen, where things are enjoyed and where we let ourselves be enveloped by the environment to live a hedonistic and sensory experience.

Sometimes we must start over in order to go on. Pizzart: before and after.

Emotions and ideas are manifested not only through cuisine, but also through the space and the service.

Starting from a business transfer with a place decorated in the style of a prestigious chain of pinchos and tapas was a challenge.

Creating a new pizzeria concept that moved away from conventional fast-food pizzerias was a real challenge.

Where the story begins… Many types of premises and a single way to do interior design.

Some buildings have ornamental or structural elements that favour an incredible design, others are a very different story. Partial reform of a previous restaurant business is not feasible when you have relevant and unreleased design ideas, although starting from scratch is also not possible in a place where conditioning elements already exist in the space.

Life is change, when something ends, something begins, from dreams new illusions arise, this renewal is the vital need to do what one likes, create spaces outside the known, designed without ties, like a new dogma.

Before and after, our most amazing change.

That decadent and lived air, an attribute of our most genuine projects, is the essence of Pizzart’s concept. A space full of life, memories, stories, with a huge sensory charge and an ineffable aesthetic joy.

The doors of abandoned buildings are truly tempting for urban artists, doors and windows had succumbed to illegal graffiti. The facade is our cover letter and a first impression. It was chosen to wear out the locksmith and place a large industrial-looking handle on the front door in order to add aesthetic value according to the general concept of the premises. To privatize the windows, opaque vinyls were placed at medium height and the windows were framed with moss green awnings returning an image of elegance and subtlety to the facade.

Inside, it took quite a while to peel the walls and wear them down until the desired finish was achieved, as it was one of the strengths of the reform. On the ground floor where this type of walls were not available, different areas with deteriorated hands of cement, paint and tiles had to be given an old look.

The use of noble, iron-like, and practical materials such as ceramics was prioritized, without any fear of showing its knots, patina, and veils, with the aim of bringing the concept to its maximum expression.

I love you but… don’t touch my pizza. Mary loves neon lights, a melancholy wink to the past and to the fascination that her contemplation brings us. PIZZART, is the art of authentic artisan pizza. Probably the most beautiful place in Madrid and the best pizza, crusty and fluffy pizzas where tomato tastes like tomato and you decide the ingredients… you won’t want to share it with anyone else.

The bar counter is one of the most welcoming places to taste and enjoy the pizzas. The charm of the period elements takes centre stage and favours a certainly beautiful design, the indirect lighting of the old balcony makes it float visually.

Incandescent bulbs and fluorescent tubes flood the place with magic thanks to that warm light.

When something’s over, something starts, something’s left. If you love vintage objects you will surely want to redeem some element, save something from the old place, the tiles of the staircase have been preserved, but giving them the look that was needed to unify it with the rest of the decoration.

The scoundrel touch is found at the private lounge. The taste of an Italian of yesteryear, conceived as the dining room of a house, where the leather of an extraordinary sofa envelops a large table. An intimate and mysterious atmosphere.

Some premises are a treasure and are home to authentic wonders that no good interior designer would overlook. Others require knowledge, experience, talent, and a lot of love for what is done to achieve such incredible change. There are many types of premises, we know a single way to do interior design.
