Piñeiro Restaurant. A rustic decoration that combines elegance and charm.

In an interior design project, the work before to execution always supports its success. Thinking about every detail and taking advice from professionals in the sector is the best way to achieve an unbeatable result. If, in addition, the starting point is a space with as much history and tradition as the one we are going to show you today, the result can be even more surprising.

Piñeiro is a charming Galician farmhouse converted into an elegant restaurant and a cosy rural house. The project is the result of the love and tenacity of a family who wanted to create a new tourist accommodation within the existing Vila Sen Vento resort, a place where guests feel at home.

A renovation of all the rooms was planned to open the restaurant to the general public, merging the charming rural environment with a sophisticated and functional interior. The design and decoration of the common areas were carried out with the advice of the Francisco Segarra team, whose catalogue of furniture and lighting was displayed to this 250-year-old house.

Traditional essence in every corner…

Located about 20km from Santiago de Compostela and very close to Pedrouzo, Piñeiro is part of a small Galician village surrounded by nature and charm. Freshwater streams, paths flanked by oak trees, the traditional cobbled fountain, old stone houses… A haven of peace to escape to in search of disconnection.

Without losing the essence, warmth and history of these houses of yesteryear, the redecoration project was developed with the intention of updating the space and adapting it to both the traditional culture of the area and the needs of the guests.

One of the biggest challenges of the project was the definition of the spaces while respecting the dimensions and structures of the house. The house has several rooms and a beautiful outdoor courtyard. Each of the six rooms was named with the famous stages of the Camino de Santiago. The reception, living rooms, porch and terrace were designed with the aesthetic advice and the furnishing and lighting proposals of the Francisco Segarra interior design team.

Furniture and lighting. Basic elements for a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Facing new challenges and helping to make a dream like this come true is something that makes us proud and encourages us to continue bringing our experience in the world of design and decoration to the development of great projects. This is the reason why this 18th century house encouraged our creativity…

The reception was conceived with the fireplace as a starting point. A way of paying homage to the place where families used to gather around the fire: a welcoming corner, the warmth of the home and long gatherings. Wood and leather take over this entrance that awaits us with all its warmth. The traditional elements, such as the beamed ceilings and the rustic floor, are joined by a selection of furniture perfect for the best welcome. A sofa, some armchairs, several side tables… and a soft lighting that increases the attractiveness of the decorative accessories.

The restaurant’s dining rooms are intimate and comfortable spaces, where the aim was never to maximise the number of diners, but to create a place to share moments and enjoy the best local gastronomy. The decoration of this rustic restaurant focused on preserving the traditional essence. Square or round, wooden tables with a central base were chosen for the lounges for their elegance and generosity. The upholstered chairs provide the maximum comfort in these spaces where the tranquillity reigns.

The lighting adds a luxurious touch through pendant lamps and wall lights in round shapes, gold tones and metallic finishes. The best way to create an atmosphere conducive to enjoyment.

Outdoor spaces to relax… furniture to enjoy them.

We cannot think about a rural getaway without the serenity and tranquillity of its outdoor spaces. The rural paradise of Piñeiro can be felt in its cosy porch and its large terrace.

The outdoor furniture that completes these areas of the house only increases the desire to relax outdoors and enjoy the best landscapes. Tables, chairs, stools, benches… The furniture adds colour and dynamism to the rustic style of this magnificent decoration project.

This rural paradise has its base in the surrounding outdoors and the traditional culture of the Galician villages. Qualities that they wanted to preserve and that guided the work of our interior designers to make this fascinating place a reality.
