There is a love that makes our lives special. Dedicating yourself to what you love is a gift, so when the love for gastronomy is reflected in the work, success is achieved.

In the heart of old Lisbon, Nicolau is a charming little restaurant, the first place of I love Nicolau that currently has four premises, all inspired by nature and in love with healthy and truly delicious food.

“The delicacy and elegance of Amélia is only comparable to the irreverence she shows in her wonderful pink styling: the baroness of Campo de Ourique is the centre of attention of her small “county” of Lisbon.

From her art noveau window, Amélia is wooed time and again, but her heart has only space for the better-known engaging of Lisbon. Some gossip people tell that Amélia has discovered the perfume of the passion and that she has thrown it in her secret garden, on an autumn afternoon, where she was drinking tea with Nicolau. If this is true, we don’t know, but we feel her freshness and lightness in the dishes she prepares with lots of love and serves in her pink counter or in the secret garden where we still can feel that perfume”. How great when love and passion merge.

Nicolau Lisboa Café was born in the summer of 2016 making a dream come true, opening a business premises where you can enjoy healthy and delicious food. Green is the inspiration for a story that has been growing and where Nicolau falls in love with Amélia. A beautiful café located in one of the most popular neighbourhoods of the city with a magical courtyard where they spend happy days.

Wild spaces always enhance and beautify gastronomy. This garden that seems to have been created by nature itself has a magnificent design work behind it.

Being in contact with nature is not simply about being surrounded by plants, the spaces where design is achieved through a natural environment are perfect for fantasizing, relaxing and getting lost, enjoying the beauty of its environmental sensitivity.

Cheerful, welcoming, romantic. Amélia talks to vegetation and we like nothing more than to see our designs in these unpredictable spaces, where nature grows spontaneously, and materials mature and beautify.
