Old Town Tavern. A special shine in the decoration of a traditional pub.

They are neither bars nor restaurants, but they represent one of those meeting places that have not lost their essence. Pubs are part of English culture and are in the heart of London society.

Under this premise and with the excitement of discovering our designs in different project types, we are presenting Old Town Tavern, a pub in the Clapham neighbourhood that preserves the traditional style in a renovated space and an immersive interior design.

London wouldn’t be the same without its pubs. This name, which comes from the English expression “public house”, condenses a whole culture of traditions and everyday social relations.

What in the past were rest houses became what now attracts both locals and tourists.

Old Town Tavern is not the oldest pub in Clapham, but it is a place that has wanted to preserve the essence of this British symbol through interior design and the decoration of the space.

For the execution of this design project, the interior design studio KAI Interiors did not depart from the main idea that leads them in every work: the creation of immersive interiors.

Clapham is one of the most multicultural neighbourhoods in London, and this traditional place turned into a pub with gastronomic space stands out among the streets of what was the old centre of the neighbourhood.

The use of a stone cladding, furniture in solid wood and warm lighting that enhances the golden tones makes this pub the best place to discover the flavour of its impressive collection of 20 types of keg beers.

FS Star, to stand out in a big way.

As in all classics, the bar counter of this place becomes the main element. Covered in dark wood and being the point of maximum interaction between customers and workers, an attractive way was devised to make it stand out and give it all the brightness it deserved.

The FS Star stoneware floor tiles by Francisco Segarra were the choice to make it a reality, for being one of those pieces with personality that appeal to the nostalgia of the past and can create immersive and highly creative atmospheres.

On the threshold of the entrance and bordering the bar counter of the premises, this floor tile inspired by the graphic designs of vintage hydraulics, creates beautiful ceramic tapestries in vintage style.

We know that entering a London pub and tasting a good beer in a traditional atmosphere means knowing part of its culture… making the interior design and the pub décor an experience is part of the success, and that’s the reason why we are proud that our collection of ceramics FS by Peronda is part of this project.
