Llanuces is the idyllic Asturian village where luxury rural accommodation SOLO Palacio is located. The project has become a reality after three years of an extensive renovation in the original Palace of the Miranda-Quirós family, an architectural building dating back to the 15th century. Its walls preserve years of history, and its palatial spaces are adapted to the current needs of the guests.

This set of tourist apartments, belonging to Ecoboutique Hotels, is the ideal destination for those seeking exclusivity. The building is located in front of the Cantabrian Mountains, specifically in the Las Ubiñas-La Mesa Natural Park. A romantic and decadent landscape that gives the hotel a certain geographical isolation.

This distance from the mundane noise and the austerity in the design and decoration of its spaces have given shape to the name of this charming rural resort. Its interior design is the result of the great work carried out by the Poppyus studio, under the direction of Sofía Tejerina.

The project redefines rural luxury, inviting us to discover and celebrate the beauty in everyday things and to live an authentic wabi-sabi experience. To this end, minimalism, simplicity and attention to detail reign in the decoration of this place, inspired by the increasingly admired Japanese concept.

It should be added that all profits generated by this particular business model are reinvested in new environmental projects in the area. With this sustainable initiative, an important value is given to the natural environment in which this wonderful rural hotel is located.

We have sought to suggest and extol the beauty of noble materials, the patina of time and the austerity of shadows.

For this reason, we wanted to dispense with superfluous ornaments and let history and nature do the rest, all thanks to the common thread created with your designs”. Sofía Tejerina.

The wabi-sabi style is a trend in interior decoration based on the simplicity of the natural, on the transitory, on the beauty of things and their imperfections… And we can only appreciate it when we observe by stripping it of all superfluous elements. This is the common thread of the whole project and the basis of an exquisite decoration focused on the experience itself.

The rooms in SOLO Palacio are spacious, with unique architectural elements and a balanced, serene and subtle interior design. Furniture and decorative accessories combine with the essence of wabi-sabi in spaces that invite calm, tranquillity and authenticity.

We find a beautiful dialogue between original architecture, furniture design and decorative art. A rustic simplicity and unpretentious elegance that can be appreciated in the pieces by Francisco Segarra chosen to enhance and embellish this place.

The furniture and decoration are full of symbolism and arrive with the intention of creating a free and sovereign space. Simple finishes, pure woods and highly suggestive designs…

The wabi-sabi style brings the colours of nature itself closer and with them increases the feeling of comfort and warmth. Natural light gives rise to a game of shadows that highlight corners and increase the feeling of intimacy.
