Farmacia de Guardia Gastro: Galician delicacies in the centre of Madrid.

In the central and mythical neighbourhood of Malasaña its alternative and fashion shops surprise us on every corner. A mix of history, avant-garde, pop culture and its vintage essence make walking along its streets an exquisite and unique experience.

But more surprising is what we can discover inside its premises at street level. The old shops coexist with the most current ones and in that synergy, we find Farmacia de Guardia Gastro.

Galician roots and the soul of Malasaña.

Its name lives up to a historic and ancient apothecary of the neighbourhood, although today it is a Galician restaurant with exotic touches and authentic interior design that has been able to reflect the soul of the busiest streets of the downtown district.

In this restaurant you can delight with authentic seasonal delicacies, you can also live a unique experience. Its atmosphere, designed by Pinilla Teyco, is designed to make you feel at home and want to repeat again and again.

Vintage, industrial and an exotic touch.

A cosy and informal atmosphere that invites us to share and enjoy a delicious meal in the middle of a relaxed conversation, as a family. Francisco Segarra’s Cleo high tables occupy much of the living room along with Tilton Creta and Leo stools and a long bench on the wall. The furniture promotes that feeling of closeness, it shows that in the drawer of each table we find the necessary cutlery that oneself serves as if we were at home.

The walls of the dining room illustrate the star ingredients of the dishes, seafood, crustaceans, and fish typical of Galician gastronomy, in a design line that lives up to the ancient apothecary that was previously.

The front of the bar top is decorated with vintage modular panels belonging to Francisco Segarra. This area takes a main and protagonist space that surrounds the kitchen itself, exceptional views to enjoy the art of Galician cuisine. A privileged place to taste its seafood and fish dishes.
